Radisson Resort Fiji Denarau Island

Friday, 15 January 2010

The traditional Bula greeting and welcome from the Radisson staff says it all, with nothing big and impersonal about this hotel, with the lobby quite stunning, and in traditional Fijian style open and fresh, with cooling breezes wafting through over the bar towards the stunning waterfall, which heralds the beginning of the fabulous garden and pool network.

There is plenty to do at the Radisson whether you are a couple seeking that romantic break or on honeymoon or family that wants a break for everyone and amazingly this report includes five, yes I said five lagoon swimming pools, Fiji's only white water tunnel water slide and pools for adults only and one pool with a beautiful sandy beach, perfect of the little ones.

If you fancy you can even have your hair braided or even better a traditional local henna tattoo, which will fade away over the coming weeks, rather than those lifelong embarrassing holiday souvenir tattoos that seemed to be good idea at the time - none of that at the Radisson!

If you want to palm the kids off on someone else for a bit of couple quality time then the Radisson has an excellent Kids Club, with those wonderful, loving Fijians just itching to look after and hug your kids and they also offer babysitting for those romantic dinner for two moments!

The Radisson Resort Fiji Denarau Island has a really excellent range of rooms to suit all with 270 luxuriously appointed guest rooms and suites, all with a private balcony and island inspired interior with breathtaking views overlooking the gardens, lagoons or Pacific Ocean and all rooms and suites also feature flat-panel TVs, ensuite bathrooms and high-speed Internet access.

With good food a major part of any holiday, Radisson's Fiji Island Resort offers a range of enticing Dining Options, with eight on-site restaurant options and in-room dining available 24 hours -  with my favourites being Lomani Wai , where you can experience dining on tables locate in the lagoon pool in the water.

Radisson Signature Tables offers the opportunity of being one of only four couples each evening to enjoy dining in Radisson's exclusive adults only venue and finally their guest chef experience at Cross Restaurant where Kiwi Celebrity Chef Richard Cross weaves his culinary magic and prepares simply fabulous gourmet dishes.

All set on 10 acres of beachfront property the Radisson is a great place to relax and enjoy the resort's exotic location, or stay active with their 18-hole championship golf course, tennis courts, or go scuba diving or choose from the range of activities offered by Adrenalin Water Sports.
