Enjoy Dim Sim en route to London on new China Airlines flights
Taiwan-based China Airlines will inaugurate thrice weekly scheduled services between Taipei and London from March 28.
The new flights will be operated in advanced Airbus A340-300 aircraft configured with 30 business class seats and 246 economy seats.
Flight timings and frequencies from Sydney will be rationalised with 10 PM departures on five days of the week scheduled to arrive in Taipei at 5 AM the following morning.
"This early morning arrival in Taipei will be very convenient for Australian passengers travelling on to London as well as our leading Asian destinations ex Australia like Hong Kong, Manila and Ho Chi Minh City," said Jim Wong, Sales Manager, China Airlines, Sydney.
Mr Wong said that while the Sydney/London route is immensely popular there is also considerable competition on the sector.
There are three solid reasons to select China Airlines: competitive fares, outstanding service and the option of stopovers in Taiwan, he said.
Coinciding with the launch of new London flights, China Airlines will introduce a series of stopover coordinated by "select Taiwan land package specialists".
Four leading Australian wholesalers offering packages with prices starting from $53 for a two day/one night stopover include:

Many Australians have yet to see the wonders of Taiwan. These affordable packages will make it possible, said Mr Wong.
Packages will include such attractions as the capital city of Taipei where the National Palace Museum displays the world's largest and richest collection of Chinese art.
Surrounded by gentle green mountains in the middle of Taiwan, Sun Moon Lake is a tranquil and highly scenic retreat offering some of the finest hotels in Asia, he added.
Promotional fares will be introduced for the new A340-300 London services.
Passenger amenities on the A340-300 London flights and the A330-300s which link Sydney/Taipei include Advanced Video on Demand entertainment centres. These allow passengers to choose from a variety of movies, short features and music and create their own playlists. |
