Agents will now have the opportunity to become a Taiwan expert with the launch of Formosa Travel & Holiday’s new online training program earlier April 2010.

Part of the 2010 Visit Taiwan Initiative, the Taiwan E-learning Program allows agents to go online and learn Taiwan’s many offerings in a fun and easy 20 minutes.

Agents simply need to view a slideshow detailing Taiwan’s culture, attractions, shopping, technology and then answer 20 questions with fun. 

Managing director of Formosa Travel & Holidays, Mr. Michael Lee, says that the Taiwan E-learning Program is the first in a long list of Taiwan related events scheduled to take place in the next few months.

“As the touted Asian destination of the year, the buzz from agents surrounding Taiwan has seen us organise a series of informative events, the first of which will be an online conference scheduled for next month, as well as an agent famil travelling to Taiwan later in the year,” he said.

Joseph Chung, director of Taiwan Tourism for the Asia-Pacific region, says of the 2010 Visit Taiwan Initiative;

“The budget for promoting Taiwan as a tourist destination into 2010 will increase dramatically in an effort to drive consumer attention. I hope that Australian travel agents will closely follow the activities and promotions of Formosa Travel & Holidays, namely their e-learning program as well as their upcoming online conference and famil.”
