Hotel Duminy-Vendome Paris is about the location, style, staff and detail. This hotel is just a short walk to the Louvre and the closest metro station is "Tuileries Station" which can take you all around Paris.

Typically French with an inviting foyer, hip and contempory feel throughout the property. There's an intimate bar offering plush red velvet seating and soft tone lighting, where upon the first step inside you'll easily see yourself relaxing with a glass of red wine while reading a book. Or meet up with some friends for a quite chat, take in the Parisian life.

 

Despite my room not being ready, the staff were very accommodating as they took up the luggage and allowed me to freshen up before I made my way out for the morning while they tried to prepare a room for me. This boutique hotel also offers basic business centre facilities where the internet only costs 0.35 euros per minute.

The lift to your room is enough to hold one person with four bags as it is weight conscious. A twin room offers basic amenities with two single beds, two windows that open (although with the cold its best to keep them closed), a desk, closet with enough space to fit your luggage comfortably. The rooms are very clean, contemporary, firm beds with the bathroom offering fresh towels and plenty of space.



The breakfast restaurant is definitely a feature of the hotel with a chic interior design offering visual stimulation through their use of décor, lighting and architecture. The selection of meals caters for all international guests and include cereal, juices, exotic teas, pastries, cheeses, deli meats, eggs and more.



In-room dining offers a detailed menu however it is served in basic form. Presentation and volume were at medium standards. There are plenty of small cafes and restaurants a very short walk away. You are in Paris after all.
