HAL Academy Graduate to enjoy 14-night cruise on ms Volendam

One lucky graduate of the HAL Academy will be sailing onboard ms Volendam later this year following the successful completion of the HAL Academy Training Curriculum by the end of March 2010.

HAL Academy prize winner, Byron Horne of Harvey World Travel Willetton (WA) receives his prize from Barry Downs, Travel the World Sales Manager WA (right).

Travel the World and Holland America Line incentivised travel agents around Australia to complete the free training program, which has been re-designed and re-written for the Australian market.

The program is aimed at assisting agents to grow their cruise business and build their knowledge of Holland America Line, and includes five core courses and two advanced strategy courses.

West Australian-based Byron Horne from Harvey World Travel in Willetton has been named the winner of the 14-night cruise onboard ms Volendam, which was on offer to all agents who graduated from the HAL Academy by 31 March 2010.  The New Zealand and Australia cruise will depart Auckland on 3 December 2010 and visit Tauranga, Napier, Wellington, Picton, Christchurch, Dunedin, Hobart, Melbourne and Sydney.  In addition to the key ports, Byron will also enjoy scenic cruising in Fiordland National Park as well as Milford Sound.

Travel professionals who wish to complete the HAL Academy Training Curriculum can still register by visiting www.halacademy.com.au. ICCA members can earn five points towards their accreditation by completing the five courses (101-105) and a further five points when they complete the two advance strategy courses (201, 202). All HAL Academy graduates receive a signed certificate from Holland America Line.
