Travel Counsellors congratulated its top performing “Gold Travel Counsellors” and thanked them for the important part they have played in the company’s success over the past 12 months during its annual Gold Weekend which took place in Las Vegas from Friday 11th – Tuesday 15th June.

This included Melbourne based Gold Travel Counsellor Lucy Fenwick, who achieved Gold status after just 5 months with the company and also won Best Newcomer at the company’s recent conference in Melbourne.

Lucy joined the company in July 2009 and achieved Gold just 5 months later. Commenting on her first Gold event Lucy said; “I enjoyed every minute of the conference in Las Vegas from start to finish. It is so fantastic to be recognised for all your hard work and it was a very special event for me becoming Gold for the first time. I feel so proud to have achieved what I have since I started with Travel Counsellors and be given the level of support that has enabled me to build my business to the success it is today in such a short space of time. There is such a strong feeling of friendship and camaraderie at these events and it has made me more determined to work even harder so that I can maintain my Gold status and go to next year’s event!”

The annual event was hosted at the exclusive five-star Encore at The Wynn, Las Vegas. Over 70 Gold Travel Counsellors and their partners enjoyed various organised events including Cirque de Soleil’s famous “Viva Elvis” show, off-road tours in eye-catching pink jeeps and a once-in-a-lifetime helicopter flight over the Grand Canyon. There was also an awards presentation in which Chairman David Speakman recognised Gold Counsellors contribution to the company’s phenomenal success, and presented individual awards to agents for their hard work and dedication.

To become a Gold Travel Counsellor, the consultants achieved commissions totalling over A$110,000 in a 12 month period.
