MTA Travel is at the 22nd Annual TravelMart -
2010 LAS VEGAS

Travel Mart in Las Vegas is MTA’s annual international conference opportunity.

It is a time to experience the power of One-to-One relationships: Connect, learn, discuss and discover how we can build our collective sales and profits in the coming year.

It is a time for us to celebrate our accomplishments, discuss current issues/opportunities and emerge even stronger for the future. This is a week of business and professional development, relationship building, and of course, a healthy dose of fun.

This week saw a number of MTA Travel Consultants venture across to the 110 degree heat of Las Vegas where they have an exciting week ahead at the Bellagio.

Simon Sinek was the opening session keynote speaker and he got the event off to a great start.

Sinek is the author of “Start with Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action.” He says that organizations and careers function on three levels: what you do, how you do it and why you do it. The problem is, he says, most of us don’t even know that the ‘why’ exists. “Start with Why” was voted one of the top 10 leadership books of 2009.

This year an extensive array of 18 different development sessions focus on how consultants can grow their business with the exclusive tools Virtuoso provide.

This year, four noted subject matter experts joined the Professional Development line-up: Nancy Giordano, Rose Hache, Jeff Miller, and Howie Jacobson. All bring a fresh perspective to the challenges and opportunities facing travel consultants today, with topics ranging from new century trends, the continued explosion of social media, risk analysis in a complex world, and the ground-breaking breakthroughs of Agent to Advisor Leadership Groups.

The best thinking and shared practices of the Network’s brain trust of top performing consultants are also showcased throughout.

Quotes from MTA Consultants already include:

“What amazing week, so far. So much fun and so much learning and its only day 2”.

“My take away from one of today’s personal development sessions was; It is not about price but about Budget – eg sell a lower class in a better cruise. They will love the feel and look of the ship, the facilities and inclusions so the experience will be great – especially if Virtuoso Voyager Club to boot”.

“Never fail techniques –I found it very interesting and useful how U.S. promote and sell their cruises, I know I can use these techniques back in Australia”.

We will highlight more of TravelMart 2010 next Wednesday and include photos from the gala events!
