Travel Trade Executive - Contractor / Freelancer

Edelman Australia is on the hunt for a Travel Trade Executive/Manager for an initial contract period to assist in developing travel trade promotion plans for our travel & tourism clients.  This role could potentially become a permanent position.

We want driven ideas-people who thrive on developing and running highly creative, insights-rich campaigns and are up with the latest travel trade and marketing principles and trends.

The highly energetic individual should have previous experience in :

1. developing and implementing tourism promotion and sales (travel trade) plans; 
2. coordinating travel shows, exhibitions, roadshows, etc;
3. organising trade and media events and promotions;
4. producing presentations, newsletters and trade materials;
5. developing and providing travel  trade education programs through training and presentations, etc;
6. organising familiarisation tours for both trade and media; and
7. managing and working with public relations consultants on PR activities.

Established and strong relationships with travel trade, travel & tourism media, retail agents, tour operators and other key tourism stakeholders is a requirement and obviously a background and solid understanding in the travel & tourism industry with a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role is preferable.
