Chef Tamara Mattii, Group Executive Italian Chef of Regal Hotels International

Regal Hotels International proudly announces that their Zeffirino Ristorante's resident Italian chef  Tamara Mattii has recently received one of the most prestigious culinary awards in Italy - the "Ambasciatore della Cucina" ("Italian Cuisine Ambassador"), jointly presented by three leading Italian chef associations : the Federazione Italiana Cuochi, the Associazione Cuochi Pisani and the Unione Regionle Cuochi Toscani.  The award was presented  to express great compliments to Chef Tamara for her efforts and contribution in promoting Italian gastronomy worldwide.

Chef Tamara joined Zeffirino Ristorante in Hong Kong as Chef De Cuisine in October 2007.  Prior to her arrival to Hong Kong, she worked in various renowned restaurants in Pisa and Genova, including the headquarter of Zeffirino.  With her great passion for culinary creations, Chef Tamara has received a great number of professional gastronomic certifications and awards during her professional career.  She has recently been appointed as Group Executive Italian Chef of Regal Hotels International where she is responsible for the menu creation and in-charge of the overall operation of kitchen for Zeffirino Ristorante in Hong Kong.

Awarded the title of Ambassador of Italian Cuisine in the world, Zeffirino Ristorante boasts a seventy-year long tradition spanning four generations.  Its delectable authentic cuisine has attracted celebrities worldwide including the late Pope John Paul II, the late world's famous tenor Luciano Pavarotti, Mikhail Gorbachev, Maradona, Muhammad Ali, Roger Moore, Frank Sinatra, Sophia Loren and Celine Dion.  The flame of Zeffirino's culinary art blazed over Asia with the opening of the first Zeffirino Ristorante at the Regal Hongkong Hotel in 2001 which has gained esteemed popularity since opened.  Zeffirino was then opened in Regal Kowloon Hotel in early February 2007 to extend its gastronomic art.
