Leading online accommodation provider Wotif.com will this week launch a new major TV campaign encouraging consumers to spend less on their hotel room and more on their holiday! One of the best-known world and intergalactic travellers and the longest running doctor from the Doctor Who series, Tom Baker, is the voice of the quirky new campaign. Tom is best known for playing the fourth doctor in the popular television series, Doctor Who, andalso the distinctive narrator of top rating UK comedy show, Little Britain. Filmed on the Gold Coast at the luxurious five star Palazzo Versace, the cleverly produced campaign by advertising agency BCM involves two 15 second commercials showing extravagant ways people can spend their money saved from buying accommodation on Wotif.com. Wotif Brands spokesperson, Prue McMillan, said their new imaginative and somewhat excessive hotel scenario ads are definitely going to get people talking! "One of the great things about being Australia's leading online accommodation provider is that we can give our customers access to cheap rates, giving them more holiday spending money which is always a bonus!
"Our new ads promote daily savings of up to 70 per cent off accommodation on our website and we encourage the travelling public to look at Wotif.com when planning their next holiday for the best deal" Ms McMillan said. The first commercial showcases a chic modern hotel room with a giant king size bed made entirely of green jelly. Viewers will see a man living out his dream thanks to the savings he has made by booking through Wotif.com; leaping with pure delight to land smack in the middle of the jelly bed.
The second commercial opens on a glitzy tanned bikini-clad model, lazing elegantly on a poolside lounge when without notice, a man on a supped-up jet ski performs a 360 degree turn in the hotel pool, spraying everyone poolside. Despite having shocked hotel guests by drenching them with water, the jetskier appears to be having the time of his life. Wotif.com's advertisements are due to begin airing on free to air television in Sydney and Melbourne and throughout New Zealand on all free to air television from Sunday 29 August. |
