QBT's exclusive may benefit JTG/Stella

Tuesday, 31 August 2010

Corporate traveller experience solution provider, conTgo is glad to have a foot in the door of Jetset Travelworld Group (JTG), given its proposed merger with Stella Travel Services.

QBT, part of JTG, has entered into a strategic partnership with conTgo, which gives the corporate travel company exclusive rights to a new risk mitigation service for a year.

“It’s a big family,” conTgo Chief Executive Johnny Thorsen told e-Travel Blackboard yesterday.

“At the moment QBT is our only Australian customer and we cannot think beyond [the date the merger is announced].”

“But it’s certainly a conversation worth having.”

Already working with conTgo to offer QBT Connect to its corporate clients, QBT offers notification to travelling employees in emergency situations.

“In an event such as a natural disaster or political unrest it is crucial that companies have a means of locating and communicating with their employees,” QBT General Manager David Hughes said.

“That's why QBT has partnered with conTgo to deliver QBT Connect to our corporate customers to ensure their safety and so we can stay in contact with them whenever needed.”
