Mrs. Numfphon Boonyawat is a new Director for Tourism Authority of Thailand Sydney Office.

After graduating from Kasetsart University in Bangkok, she joined the Tourism Authority of Thailand in 1987 as an Officer 3 in Technical Department. From 1990 - 1992, Technical Officer 4 in Statistics & Research Division, 1992 - 1995 was promoted to Technical Officer 5 and from 1995 - 2001 as Chief of Research  Section in Statistics & Research Division in Technical Department.

From 2001 - 2005, she was transferred to New York Office of the Tourism Authority of Thailand as an Assistant Director.

After returning from her post in New York, she was the Chief of Strategic Planning Section in Planning Division from 2005 - 2006.

From 2006 - 2008 she was promoted to be a Director of Planning Division and from 2008 up to present time before taking up the new post as Director of Sydney Office in August, she was the Director of Marketing Strategy Division.

Her areas of responsibility are Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific; she will have a four year term as the Director of Sydney Office.
