The Group Executive Chinese Chef of Regal Hotels International & Executive Chinese Chef of Regal Palace Restaurant, Sam Ip has selected the finest seasonal wild mushrooms as main ingredients and has created a series of delicate and delicious dishes.
It is now the perfect season for tasting wild mushrooms, Yunnan province of south-western China is best known for its wide variety and abundant yield of fresh wild mushrooms.
Majority of its mushrooms will be exported to different counties every year.
Yunnan's heavy forest and excellent air quality create a fertile environment that is rich in growing many kinds of plants.
The soil is warm and moist which provides excellent home for wild mushrooms.
Wild mushrooms are said to be rich in protein, carbohydrate and several vitamins and minerals that can help strengthen health, and its fresh taste make it as one of the most popular natural health food items in Hong Kong.
Chef Sam Ip has specially chosen 7 kinds of wild mushrooms from Yunnan which include Aspratus, Bamboo Pith, Matsutake, Chanterelle, Porcini, Green Russule and Saffron Bolete, and prepared you an array of mouth-watering wild mushrooms dishes which will surely tantalize your taste buds in this season.
