JAPAN AIRLINES INTERNATIONAL FUEL SURCHARGE


Japan Airlines will maintain the current (01APR-30SEP10) fuel surcharge for the ticketing period 01OCT-31DEC10.

The amount applies to all tickets issued in Australia on JL/JO international flights, including code share flights operated by other carriers.

For tickets originating in Oceania and sold in Australia a flat surcharge of AUD138 per sector applies only on the sectors between Oceania and Japan. Sectors beyond Japan are exempt from the surcharge.

For itineraries not departing Australia but issued in Australia 01APR-31DEC10, the following surcharges apply:

NOTE: International Insurance surcharge of USD3.20 per person for each segment still applies.

This should also be collected as “YQ”. Insurance surcharge for Japan Domestic sectors still applies as follows:

JPY300 - When Japan Domestic fares are purchased separately from international fares, the insurance surcharge will not be applied. When Japan Domestic sectors are included in international fares, the insurance surcharge will be applied. This should also be collected as ‘YQ’.

Ticket Reissue/1st Intl Flight Change: When the first international sector of the ticket is changed or rerouted (regardless of fare type), the difference between the previous Fuel Surcharge and the revised Fuel Surcharge must be adjusted. (All tickets must be reissued). If a reissue is required for any sector other than the first international flight, the fuel surcharge is not reassessed.
