Quest Serviced Apartments launches a GDS private label chain code ‘QG’

Thursday, 2 September 2010

In September 2010, Quest Serviced Apartments will launch its own GDS private label chain code, „QG' – the first serviced apartment provider in Australia and New Zealand to do so.

The GDS is the system used by travel agents globally to search prices and packages for services including accommodation, flights, vehicle hire and tours.
Nick Suriano, General Manager Quest Serviced Apartments said this is a significant step for the Quest Group, which now has more than 125 properties is Australia, New Zealand and Fiji, five of which will open this year alone.

“Over the past few years, Quest has experienced substantial and consistent growth and for the 2009/10 financial year, achieving revenue growth of more than 10 per cent,” he says.

“Quest has the largest network of serviced apartment properties in Australasia, and we have now reached the size and footprint across this market where it makes sense to have our own GDS chain code.

“Whether travel agents are looking for accommodation in central business districts, suburban and key regional areas with close proximity to head offices, business centres or cultural attractions, the chances are they'll find a Quest property.

"QG' which stands for Quest Group, will make searching for Quest Serviced Apartments a whole lot easier,” says Mr Suriano.

The roll out of the new Quest GDS chain code will commence in early September, with all properties scheduled to be completed by Monday 27 September.
