Tempo Holidays has launched an exciting new tour which explores the delights of South India from magnificent palaces and rural villages to exotic wildlife.

The 11-day Southern Holy Places, Jungles & Backwaters tour starts from $1695* per person twin share based on the Standard Package and is valid for sale and travel until 31 May 2011.

The tour visits princely Mysore, where the Maharajah's magnificent palace dominates the city, and the summer home of ancient warrior Tipu Sultan.

Clients will pass through traditional towns and villages, spot exotic wildlife on a game drive at Nagarhole Tiger Sanctuary, ascend the mountains to visit the Ooty hill-station, a remnant from British colonial times, before relaxing on a deluxe houseboat in the tranquil Kerala backwaters.

The package includes 10 nights accommodation, private car touring, local guide for city sightseeing tours and attractions,10 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 3 dinners, 3 game drives in Nagarhole Tiger Sanctuary, overnight houseboat cruise and entrance fees where applicable.

Standard hotel accommodation is available with the option of upgrading to superior hotel accommodation.
