Operations Manager- Full Time - Package Circa $100,000 p.a.

Greece and Mediterranean Travel Centre, one of Australia's leading Mediterranean wholesalers is seeking the services of a highly experienced travel professional to manage the company's operations and contribute to its business growth.  GMTC is seeking a person who has an extensive range of management skills and possesses the qualities be a leader and mentor to reservations and sales staff, ensure that the technology in the office operates at optimal efficiency and has a proactive approach to business development and growth. Reporting to the Managing Director, the person we seek should have the capabilities to be a reliable and responsible and provide full support to the Managing Director. The position is located at the company's bright and comfortable office in Alexandria.

Qualifications and Attributes

• Significant experience (at least 7 years) at management level in a tourism industry environment. Experience with wholesale tour operators would be regarded as desirable
• A broad knowledge of IT especially Galileo and an ability to adapt to the company's in house reservations and office management systems.
• A superior ability to communicate with, mentor and manage staff.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• The ability to provide in-house training to new or inexperienced staff.
• A dynamic individual with leadership qualities and a commitment to innovation in both the operational sphere and business development.
• Strong tourism product knowledge of and a passion for the Mediterranean region would be a significant asset.

Remuneration
This is a very significant and senior role with huge potential. Greece and Mediterranean Travel Centre is prepared to offer a generous remuneration package for the right candidate. The negotiable package would be circa $100,000 per annum.
