The Courtyard by Marriott North Ryde Hotel celebrated its sixth birthday with a "Block Party" for over 600 corporate clients, hotel guests and the local community.
The event included a delicious free lunch, live entertainment, an adult size jumping castle, and a "stash the cash" machine filled with loads of giveaways including free night stays at five Australian Marriott properties.
"We have thrown this special birthday celebration to say thank you to our customers and the local community for supporting us in the past six years," said Louise Byrom, General Manager of the Courtyard by Marriott North Ryde.
The hotel also invited Friends of Lane Cove National Park to attend the event, assisting the not-for-profit organisation in raising over $300 in donations, to be used to purchase plants from a local nursery as part of a regeneration initiative.
"We are delighted to be part of such a wonderful community, and to give something back we have also volunteered to lend a helping hand in planting the new vegetation at Lane Cove National Park," said Ms Byrom.
"To us, protecting the environment is an integral part of our corporate responsibility, and we will continue to search for new ways to do so," she said.
The hotel is further celebrating its birthday by introducing for guests a range of new technological features including Apple Ipads at Orchards Restaurant, an interactive GoBoard® screen in the lobby, and wireless internet connection throughout the property.
The Courtyard by Marriott North Ryde offers 196 guest rooms, from the spacious King Deluxe to the unique split-level Loft Suites with views to nearby Lane Cove National Park.
