Agents Rush to Become Captains of P&O Academy

Friday, 3 September 2010

Almost 200 travel agents are now P&O Academy Captains following the release of seven new training modules earlier this month.

The new modules include in-depth information on popular P&O Cruises’ ports visited on cruises to Asia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

P&O Academy has been specifically designed to help travel agents build their knowledge of P&O Cruises’ many itineraries so they can match their client with the perfect cruise holiday, whether they’re an avid cruiser or cruising for the first time.

Since its launch in December last year, more than 1800 agents have signed up for the program, with more than 400 progressing to Staff Captain and almost 200 achieving Captain rank.

Complete Cruise Solution Director of Sales Don Clark said the response to the latest module release had been fantastic.

“Clearly a lot of agents are keen to know more about cruising. And with P&O Cruises’ Earlybird sale underway there’s no better time for agents to expand their cruise knowledge and boost their sales,” Mr Clark said.

Other topics covered in the latest modules include P&O Cruises’ 75 years of cruising history, onboard youth and teen programs, online cruise resources and digital and direct marketing.

Participation in P&O Academy is free. To learn more about cruising from Australia’s biggest cruise operator, go to www.completecruisesolution.co.nz.  To register for P&O Academy and POLAR Online, please contact the Online Helpdesk number on 0800 543 178 in New Zealand.
