Australia Walkabout Wildlife Park (Walkabout Park) offers you a unique up-close-and-personal nose-to-nose experience with Australia's best loved native animals, right on Sydney's doorstep. And now Walkabout Park has announced a special promotional deal for you to enjoy a "Wild Sleep Out"!

Visitors are astonished to find it is only an hour's drive to this True Blue Aussie Bush experience right on Sydney's doorstep. There's no need to travel to northern Queensland or the northern territory.

Fancy a mini-break from the hustle and bustle of life? Would you like to relax with some of Australia's most amazing furry and feathered creatures? Camping doesn't get much easier and safer than this.

Everything is laid on for you. Tents are pitched, camp cots are made up, and all meals are provided. There are even hot showers! And right now for the months of October and November 2010 Australia Walkabout Wildlife Park is offering a fantastic promotional deal where adults get to enjoy the Wild Sleep Out at kids' prices, a saving of $60 each.

Everyone pays a special all-inclusive price of $105 (Valid for "Wild Sleep Out" bookings on Saturday nights in October and November).

Guests on this amazing overnight program join in a fascinating ranger-led nocturnal adventure. Arrive late in the afternoon just as the park is closing to the public; go on a spotlight trek into the bush as the rangers point out the nocturnal animals searching for food along the tracks, climbing the trees and moving through the undergrowth; return for a delicious BBQ dinner; meet some amazing hand-raised creatures; gather around the campfire to listen as the rangers tell stories of the Dreamtime; marvel at the brightness of the southern sky stars in the Milky Way; camp-out in comfortable tents while the kangaroos and wallabies hop happily through the campsite; wake to the sounds of kookaburras and other wildlife; emerge from your comfortable snake- and spider-proof tent to be greeted by the animals; enjoy a prepared breakfast; then go behind-the-scenes with the rangers.

"This is a unique opportunity for a close-up encounter with our native animals, especially the nocturnal ones." said the park's Education & Marketing Director, Tassin Barnard.

"Australia Walkabout Wildlife Park is special in that we're not a zoo where the animals all live in cages," said Barnard. "Most of our animals live freely in our 170 acre park, with only a few in spacious natural enclosures for their, or visitors', protection.

Yet these free-ranging animals choose to interact with the visitors."

"Visitors are always blown away by just how friendly these 'wild' animals are. Everyone who visits us is amazed that there is such a fantastic Aussie adventure right on Sydney's doorstep," said Barnard.
