Agent feedback prompts upgrade to Topdeck website

Monday, 6 September 2010

Agents identified simplicity and functionality as the key elements of a good website and in response, Topdeck has launched a revamped www.topdeck.travel, catering specifically for the needs of agents.

“We talked to agents around the world about their website preferences, listened to their feedback and have now developed the most user-friendly website that we could,” said Lance Batty, Director Global Sales and Strategy.

The new Topdeck website offers greatly improved functionality through streamlined navigation and easy access to the most sought after information.

“The look and feel of the website remains unmistakably Topdeck but agents will notice big changes in the search functions, enabling them to find a range of trips that specifically meet the requirements of their clients with one click,” Mr Batty said.

“We know that agents prefer companies that are up-front about pricing. On www.topdeck.travel the price of each trip, inclusive of any fuel supplements, is clearly visible. If the trip requires a local payment in a local currency, this too is clearly stated,” he said.

A new-look Trip Finder search function is utilized by a ‘budget and departure slider’, (www.topdeck.travel/trip-finder) which instantly provides a range of trips that meet a client’s destination, time frame and budget requirements.

To make it easier for agents to sell Topdeck to first-time travellers, two new pages have been included on the top navigation which explain the key benefits of travelling with Topdeck and how the company differs from its competitors, www.topdeck.travel/why-choose-Topdeck and www.topdeck.travel/europe.

In other changes, navigation around the site has been improved by grouping trips and destinations by continent.

Agents looking specifically for distressed inventory trips will see the cost savings of these trips clearly indicated on the date and departures page.
