BENTOURS has launched an exciting new tour of the infamous volcano that stopped the travel world.

The Scandinavian holiday specialist has created the three-day Iceland Volcano Tour which explores vast volcanic vistas and stunning glacial rivers before getting up close to Eyjafjallajökull Volcano.

The tour starts from $610* per person twin share based on travel in October to December (Wednesday to Saturday departures) and includes two nights at a 3 star Reykjavik city hotel, daily breakfast and a half day guided super jeep tour including pick up and drop off from the hotel.

Clients will enjoy vast volcanic vistas and unabridged glacial rivers while heading over Hellisheidi Heath towards the Eyjafjallajökull glacier – once glittering white but now covered in black ash.

Clients will also learn about what the unbridled power of an erupting volcano can do to its surroundings. A breathtaking glacier lagoon which existed only a few weeks ago has been completely washed away by a massive flood following the sub glacial eruption.

The tour gets as close to the latest volcanic action as possible while keeping a safe distance, driving on primitive tracks in a highly modified, 4X4 monster truck unique to Iceland.

Travellers wishing to extend their stay can opt for additional nights’ accommodation and sightseeing, as well as more comprehensive tours and self drive products departing from Reykjavik.
