  :: Taiwan Tourism Roadshow & Workshop ::

The Taiwanese delegation was in Sydney last night to promote Taiwan to the Australian travel trade.

Pearl Lee Marketing Representative Taiwan Tourism said "This evening is about education and awareness of Taiwan. Taiwan is the new gateway to Asia, only 9 hours flight from Australia - it's a must see holiday destination"

Over the next two years Taiwan expects to double its tourist arrivals from Australia hoping to surpass rival destinations of Singapore and Hong Kong "because it has so much more to offer" says Jean Chang of the Golden Foundation

With so many outstanding drawcards Taiwan (and its 12 islands) offers spectacular coastline, 200 towering mountains spread over eight National parks, tropical rainforests, lakes, gorges, hot springs, sandy beaches and today it's a multi-cultural mix of modern and traditional.

Ms Lee announced the appointment of their new advertising partner, which will secure trade and consumer brand awareness for the destination, Ad Partners, who will start promoting Taiwan in the next two months.

Tomorrow is Melbourne's turn to experience Taiwan's friendly hospitality where the roadshow and workshop continues Thursday 9th September.
