Treble Cone's Spring specials go on sale this week offering substantially discounted Spring season passes and rental rates to compliment the variety of events and fun on offer at Treble Cone. The Spring season pass runs for four weeks from the 6th September with an adult pass priced at $420, (just $105 a week), $299 for a student and $149 for a child. A special rate for rental gear has also been introduced offering good value skiing and snowboarding until the end of the season. Spring is a great time to visit Treble Cone, the resort is traditionally quieter, the snow is in good condition and the warm and sunny climates add to the enjoyment. After a morning carving up the mountain, relax on the sun deck taking in the stunning view while listening to the chilled tunes from Wanaka Beats' DJs. For those who have worked up a thirst the Buckets of Beer deal is back; four Coronas or Summit for $20. The recent snowfalls and ideal snow-making conditions throughout the season ensured Treble Cone established a good snow base of 180cms in the Saddle Basin 107cm in the Home Basin to last through to the end of the season. The Spring event's calendar has a good mix of competitions for all snow sports disciplines and abilities including the Base Triple Comp (Sept 11) testing speed and style in the morning before heading to the Big Air in the afternoon and the Wanaka Yacht Club snow-sail racing regatta (Sept 17). While the Pump Mini Mountain (18 Sept) is a great event for juniors to enter the competitive world of free ride and the Summit NZ Freeheel Championship (25 Sept) is for athletes in to ski touring and telemarking. These events are designed to attract locals and a broad mix of skiers and riders with the focus on fun and giving it a go. Throughout Spring a five day anytime rental of a ski/board set is $120, normally $200. The family Spring season pass is $899. All special offers are effective from Monday 6th September. |
