Trinity beach property gets market savvy

Renovated 1 Bedroom Apartment Living Room- Fresh, modern design with all the latest comforts.

Renovated 1 Bedroom - Stylish and accessible.

As Tropical North Queensland continues to struggle with a two-year slump in tourism trade, Aspire On the Beach Apartments is keeping a positive attitude, and it seems to be working, with a 6.4% improvement on last year’s sales.

The usually busy tourism region experienced an official six percent drop in the price of domestic holiday travel and accommodation in the June quarter; leaving local resorts locked in an unsustainable price war.

In a strategic marketing initiative, Aspire On the Beach refurbished 18 one-bedroom apartments and increased its marketing, investing over $10,000 with the goal of attracting more travelers and locals to the friendly town of Trinity Beach.

After a long process, and with the support of owners, the refurbishment was completed in May of 2010 and resort guests have been enjoying the fresh new look, while the property is boasting increased sales.

Property Manager Melissa Speer believes the renovations were an essential element in helping the property prosper in the past few months.

“Aspire On the Beach is doing very well in comparison to many other properties in the competitive Trinity Beach Market. We have stayed positive and proactive even though the initial business was slow.”

“Guests who stay in our one-bedroom apartments now appreciate the modern and stylish look.  Travellers are becoming savvier than ever and accommodation providers need to keep up with changing trends and demands.”

“We also increased our marketing in Victoria, SA and New South Wales, which was effective with a 15% increase in guests from our southern neighbours since April 2010.”
The property, which recently joined the Aspire network of apartments and resorts, has won the Expedia Select List award three years running, as selected by Guest Surveys, and is hoping to make it four.

Although improving, prices are still reduced at Aspire On the Beach to encourage the recovering industry in Cairns, which means it’s a good time to get some local discounts.
