Travelling around the world so much it is always disappointing to find sterile resorts that could be anywhere, failing to use their location in the design and presentation of the property.
That is definitely not the case at the very popular Bali hotel, the White Rose Hotel and Villas, a four star property right in the centre of Kuta-Legian, with the owners saying that they pride themselves in offering luxurious Balinese accommodation at affordable value, with the proof self evident with many of the thousands of Aussies travelling to Bali every year, staying in this very popular Bali hotel.
I was very fortunate to visit the White Rose Hotel and Villas on my recent visit to Bali with eTB and eTBTV on location from Indonesia and Bali brought to you by Garuda Indonesia and Garuda Orient Holidays and was very impressed by this hotel.
It is operated by Sun Island Hotels which also operates the Sun Island Boutique Villas & Spa and while it offers great facilities and 150 very smart, newly renovated rooms and 5 designer, boutique new Pool Villas built in August 2010, all offering great value for money, it is amazingly convenient for all the attractions and activities of Kuta-Legian.

Many Australians love to be at the heart of the night life and shopping of Kuta and this hotel is right there, yet it is also a tranquil oasis in the middle of it all, walking distance to Kuta Beach, a few steps away from the Ground Zero area, Kuta’s hot entertainment street, packed with art shops, restaurants, bars and more, it is set in vast, tranquil, lush tropical Balinese gardens and all this, only ten minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport,.

The 96 Standard Rooms lead in rooms at White Rose Hotel and Villa have all been renovated and feature their own private balconies and uniquely designed offering 25 square meters decorated in Balinese style but with Western  standard facilities, including individually controlled air conditioning, bathroom with bathtub and a shower over the bath, mini bar, in-room safety box, slippers, umbrella, hair dryer, a cable and satellite TV program, and an IDD-telephone – amazing value for money
The 48 Deluxe rooms are also  25 square meters and offer the same convenient facilities as the Standard rooms, with the bonus of coffee and tea making facilities and luxurious bathrobe, plus direct access to the lush tropical gardens, as they are located on the ground floor.

The 4 Super Deluxe rooms are newly renovated in June 2010 and are designed with tranquillity of nature in mind and inspired by the comfort of Balinese traditional living, with each room located on the ground floor, some having tropical garden and some main pool views, but they all offer luxurious king size beds, classic dark timber and spacious en-suite bathroom and individually controlled air conditioning, bathroom with bathtub and a shower over the bath, mini bar, in-room safety box, slippers, umbrella , hair dryer, a flat screen LCD TV  with satellite TV , DVD Player, coffee and tea making facilities, luxurious bathrobe and an IDD-telephone, plus complimentary beer and soft drinks throughout the stay as well as guaranteed late check out until 4pm.

The 2 Family Suites were renovated in July 2010 and offer a very clever split level design with a loft room on the upper level and a master bedroom on the lower level, designed with a mix of modern western facilities and Balinese traditional style, delicately furnished in elegant timber and neutral tones, with the lower level featuring a comfortable and spacious living room area, kitchenette area, separate master bedroom which has its own door to access the Suite and outdoor, with a king size bed and en-suite bathroom including bathtub and shower recess. The upper loft bedroom features twin beds and a separate bathroom, which has direct access to the living room, plus most of the facilities that Super De Luxe rooms offer.

The 5 Pool Villas are absolutely awesome, surrounded by the tropical Balinese garden, with the secluded Villa compound strategically located in the centre of the  garden, with each Villa approximately 50 square meters including a private plunge pool right and a private veranda where high afternoon tea is served every day.  The stunning marble bathroom with private garden view has a glass-separated indoor bathtub overlooking the garden, an exotic outdoor shower and also two separate basins with slide mirrors, with other features of the Villas including,  Plasma TV with cable and satellite TV program, IDD-telephone, DVD player, refrigerator, in-room Safety Box, hairdryer, minibar with unlimited soft drinks, coffee/tea making facilities, individually controlled air conditioning and more, offering a combination of comfort and elegance at once, in a luxurious retreat.
