AirAsia Group experienced a surge in passengers last year, reporting a 13.1 percent rise in travellers carrying up to 25.6 million from 22.7 million. A successful fourth quarter boosted the airline’s numbers, with AirAsia Malaysia transporting 4.4 million passengers up 11.1 percent compared to last year, the highest number of passengers over October, November and December for the Group. Thai AirAsia experienced the largest growth for the Group with a 13.2 percent increase in passengers carried over the quarter to 1.6 million. |
