The 36th edition of Le Monde à Paris closed its doors on 20 March. More than 100,000 visitors were estimated at the four-day consumer travel show, also known as "the biggest travel agency in France," where some 500 destinations were represented. Now in its second year, the Gay Pavilion featured 10 stands, including IGLTA member destinations, hoteliers, tour operators, accommodation services and media partners. A number of IGLTA
members also seized the occasion to reach French LGBT consumers through brochure distribution. Opening day of MAP saw Jean-Bernard Bros, deputy mayor in charge of tourism for Paris, make one of only a few MAP stops at IGLTA's stand; French Minister of Tourism Frédéric Lefebvre also visited IGLTA's booth. France is currently the European country with the most members in the association.
