Hyatt Regency Coolum is ready to revive all the glamour and excitement of old-time China as it hosts the biggest event on the Sunshine Coast social calendar - Hot Dice, Shanghai Nights. The May 14 gala event is the annual black-tie fundraiser for the Cindy Mackenzie Breast Cancer Foundation, a lavish night of live entertainment, dancing, casino games, raffles, auctions and delicious food, hosted by television presenter Sofie Formica. To mark the occasion, Hyatt Regency Coolum is offering a special accommodation rate of $199* for a King Room, including breakfast. The offer means guests can combine a tranquil escape at one of Queensland’s most luxurious resorts with the excitement of the Sunshine Coast’s only annual black-tie affair. Tickets to Hot Dice, Shanghai Nights cost $195 per person including all food and beverages, with proceeds to help support Sunshine Coast breast cancer sufferers through the foundation established to honour the memory of local mum Cindy Mackenzie. Held in the resort’s central Pavilion, the event will create a bustling scene of lanterns, rickshaws and backstreet noodle stalls, where guests will be able to bid for charity auction items or swap cash for “funny money” in a high-rollers’ casino. Hot Dice, Shanghai Nights is part of Tourism Noosa’s “Fiesta” campaign, a three-month promotion of Sunshine Coast celebrations. Running throughout April, May and June, the Fiesta includes food and wine events, arts, theatre, music, exhibitions and more. |
