All of the excitement of meeting Barry Manilow really made me crave some relaxation time so I decided to spend the afternoon at a spa. Qua Baths & Spa at Caesars Palace is the most decadent place to achieve total relaxation. Having been spoilt by the service at what I think is the leading property in Las Vegas, I knew that the Spa experience would be second to none. A world away from the craziness of the Strip, Qua offers a serenity I have never experienced elsewhere.
I was treated to a ‘Red Carpet Facial’ and ‘Pain Management Massage’ which successfully eased a pulled muscle in my shoulder I had been suffering with since flying over from Australia. Whilst the treatments were decadent and much needed, it was the experience of the Roman Baths that really topped off an amazing afternoon. From exfoliating myself with shredded ice whilst being snowed on by moisturizer in the ‘Arctic Ice Room’, to immersing myself in the therapeautic warm spa whilst having a waterfall cascade above me, I have never felt so totally relaxed in my life. All that was missing was a handsome man waving vine leaves over me whilst feeding me grapes! There’s no going hungry at Qua Baths & Spa either. You can order room service for delivery in the ‘Tea Room’. To quench your thirst, a Qua therapist can brew you a hot or ice tea custom made to suit your treatment. My favourite was the ‘Qua Signature Blend’ infused with passionfruit. For someone who is so dependent on technology and suffers from a complete inability to relax, this experience was very eye opening for me. I switched off for hours and could have remained in that sanctuary for many more. The peace that you feel from the moment you walk into the Spa is priceless and, there are a range of affordable treatments available so that everyone can experience the serenity. Alternatively, you also have the ability to use the Roman Baths exclusively if you would prefer not to have a treatment.
I floated back to my room in the Augustus Tower of Caesars Palace, relaxed, rejuvenated and dreaming of the next time I will experience complete serenity. |
