The JAL Group announced today, plans to temporarily reduce flight frequency on certain domestic routes in efforts to maintain profitability as travel demand declined following the Great East Japan Earthquake. Services will still be maintained on these routes with fewer number of daily roundtrip flights between May 9 and June 1, 2011. During this period, the Group will reduce up to a total of 9 daily roundtrip operations on 6 domestic routes - 5 of which originate from Tokyo (Haneda), to Sapporo, Osaka (Itami), Fukuoka, Kagoshima and Okinawa (Naha). In response to various event risks that affect the airline industry, JAL will endeavor to make keen adjustments to seat capacity based on demand. JAL apologizes for the inconvenience caused and seeks the kind understanding and cooperation of customers affected by the changes. Flight frequency reductions:
