JAL to Operate Extra Flights to Sendai Airport between May 9 and 22, 2011

The JAL Group has decided to operate non-scheduled, extra roundtrip flights to Sendai Airport from Osaka (Itami) and Sapporo between May 9 and 22, 2011. Regular roundtrip flights from Fukuoka, Osaka (Itami) and Sapporo to Sendai will be further suspended until June 30, 2011.

JAL will continue endeavouring to support the early recovery of the Tohoku region, and will provide updates when decisions have been made to operate more additional flights.

Notice on Facilities at Sendai Airport

  • Parking space is limited at the airport and given priority to courtesy vehicles. Passengers are advised to utilize public transport to and from the airport as much as possible.
  • As there are constraints on the usability of certain facilities at the airport, there may be occasions where only travelling passengers will be permitted into the airport building.
  • Temporary toilets have been set up at the airport.
