Michael Goei

Indonesia’s national airline, Garuda Indonesia, has appointed Michael Goei and Nelma Capitao as Sales Executives for NSW and ACT.

The new additions further cement the strength of Garuda Indonesia in this region and are key indicators of the growth of the airline in the local marketplace.

Prior to taking on the role with Garuda Indonesia, Michael was employed at Virgin Atlantic where he undertook a finance and administration role. He has also worked as a Sales Executive for Viva Macau. Having worked with some of Asia’s largest carriers, Michael brings a wealth of experience to the position along with widespread knowledge in sales and marketing.

Additionally, the Garuda Indonesia Sydney team is benefiting from Nelma’s extremely strong industry knowledge and extensive contacts within the corporate travel arena.

Most recently, Nelma was employed by Qantas Holidays in the telephone sales department and prior to that Qantas Business Travel, where she was responsible for managing corporate SME accounts in NSW. Having previously worked as Customer Service Officer for Air New Zealand, Nelma not only has extensive airline experience but also a deep understanding of the operational side.

“Michael and Nelma were selected for their strong sales and corporate experience within the travel industry and will be great additions to our Sydney sales team, especially since the introduction of our new direct daily Sydney to Jakarta service.”  

Michael and Nelma’s appointment to Garuda Indonesia has been effective since April.
