Daisy digs Beverly Hills

Here's a little nugget of truth: girls love to be pampered, and there's no better place to experience ultimate glamour than in Beverly Hills.

Being one of the world's most sought-after neighbourhoods, located centrally in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills is actually it's own city.

What appears to have been manufactured straight out of a movie set, its immaculate streets, well manicured lawns and some of the most amazing mansions in America, it's understandable why the rich, famous and the 4P Posse are here.

When in Rome, or so they say, it's only fitting to take in everything Beverly Hills to stay in the heart of the neighbourhood at the funky Maison 140.

Putting on our comfy shoes, we set off on a guided walking tour of the city and quickly  discover the one-year old boutique hotel is only a stone's throw from the glitzy Rodeo Drive.

Roaming the streets full of tourists and the odd celeb-lookalike, the 4P Posse take in the area's rich and diverse history, complete with tales of celebrity encounters by our guide, Judy.

We complete the tour at the uber-ritzy Beverly Wilshire, a Four Seasons Hotel where we are pleasantly surprised with spa treatments which rejuvenate the 4P's after our busy week of eating, sipping cocktails by the pool and taking in the sights at some of California's most iconic destinations.

If there's one thing any visitor must do in Beverly Hills it is to ensure a reservation at one of the many hip restaurants in the city.  The 4P's start the evening with miniature cocktails at the trendy Bar Noir at Maison 140 before dinner at the iconic Beverly Hilton.

Circa 55 is perhaps as famous for its celebrity patronage as it is for its food and travellers may also recognise the hotel as home to the Golden Globes award show each year.  Seated poolside in an exclusive cabana, it's hard to believe we're in the heart of the city yet far removed from the hustle and bustle of LA.
