IATA posts Agents Handbook

Tuesday, 31 May 2011

International Air Transport Association is putting agents in the loop, releasing its current edition of the Travel Agent’s Handbook (TAH) online.

With information effective from 1 June this year, each handbook contains the Passenger Agency Conference decisions covering practices and industry regulations.

Australian Federation of Travel Agents chief executive Jayson Westbury noted that in this manual all Local Criteria has been shifted to Section 3.

“IATA has also posted to the website the updated BSP Manual for Agents 2011, information on ITDI's new e-learning courses for Agents and the latest information on IATA's e-Services,” Mr Westbury said.

“Also, there is nothing of a significant nature that impacts the Australian BSP in this update, but for the purpose of having the latest information on record, you may find it worthwhile reading through the updated handbook.”
