TravelManagers national support team continues to expand with the recent appointment of a corporate travel specialist. Executive General Manager Mandy Scotney announced they have recently appointed Nathan Giovenco to the role.

“We were particularly excited about Nathan’s vast experience across large corporate management companies, mid-sized corporate agencies and SME business travel operations plus as a corporate travel implant. He has the ideal mix of corporate travel business experience to ensure the successful implementation of a detailed and comprehensive support program for our personal travel managers who are focusing on increasing their business travel clients across the spectrum.

Ms Scotney says TravelManagers support services are expanding to cater for the growth they are experiencing.

“We now have a significant number of personal travel managers whose business either includes a high percentage of SME clients or has the potential to do so. Personal travel managers’ skills are highly sort after by business travellers, particularly their attention to detail and depth of experience, as a result TravelManagers wants to support this growth area of our business.

TravelManagers boasts a significant commitment with its national personal travel manager support team which now numbers 22 full-time staff. This is made up of staff covering national operations, fares and ticketing, accounts, marketing, training, recruitment, IT, Finance and a business partnership manager covering every state across Australia. Ms Scotney says it is the largest support team of any host agency in the mobile consulting business in Australia.

“We pride ourselves on delivering the most professional and most comprehensive range of support services to our personal travel managers in Australia. When we recognise a trend, we put resources behind it, hence our commitment to employ a corporate travel specialist. Providing a dedicated resource, such as Nathan, will result in increased business for our personal travel managers, which means everyone benefits.”

Mr Giovenco is thrilled to be part of the TravelManagers team.

“It’s well-known in travel circles that if you are going to work in the personal travel sector the ultimate company to work with is TravelManagers. This role is exciting as it recognises the expanding role of a personal travel manager and the fact the skills are increasingly sort after by corporate travellers. I’ve been itching to get started.”

Mr Giovenco started with TravelManagers on 6 June and is based in Sydney.
