Buyers and Exhibitioners were welcomed into Rotorua Maori style yesterday, as the group prepared for the two day conference MEETINGS, which kicks off in the city today.

Hosting the event for the first time ever, Rotorua showcased its ancient and vibrant culture with traditional Maori welcoming songs and a challenge performance from one of the Maori warriors.

Air New Zealand’s group sales development manager in Australia Lynn Simmonds took part in the welcoming ceremony, taking on the warrior’s challenge with a brave face and woollen cape.
