Whilst people have been hesitant to travel to Japan since the devastating earthquake and tsunami hit earlier this year, in the Kumuka office Japan is once again one of the most popular destinations.
In May Matt Sourdin, Kumuka’s Customer Care Team Leader, headed to Japan for a couple of weeks, and more recently Lisa Pagotto, Kumuka’s Tailor Made Consultant, stopped over in this stunning country for 8 days on her way to North America. Both had a fantastic time and are ready and rearing to go back as soon as possible. Mark Ford, Kumuka’s Retail Travel Specialist, is also getting excited for his 6 day trip to Japan in early July.
“Whilst Japan has been considered an unsafe destination for the past few months, it is now getting back to its feet and tourists are excited to be heading back to this amazing country once again” said Brett Wendorf, Kumuka’s Head of Sales and Marketing. “Before the earthquake and tsunami our passenger numbers to Japan were increasing rapidly, and we hope to once again see pre-tsunami visitation rates to this unique and varied country as it would provide a much needed boost the Japanese economy and help to speed up the recovery process. All of the destinations we visit on our tours are now safe to visit, and we look forward to welcoming tourists back to Japan”.
Kumuka Worldwide offers two itineraries to Japan which show off this country’s vibrant cities and magical landscapes.
