TravelManagers Induction Courses Chocker with Western Australian PTMs

Wednesday, 3 August 2011

TravelManagers has just completed a three day induction training at its National Partnership Office in Sydney. TravelManagers’ Executive General Manager, Mandy Scotney, is thrilled about two particular milestones being achieved.

“It is our biggest single intake of personal travel managers with 10 being inducted and secondly five of the participants are from Western Australia. This means not only are our numbers growing, but we are seeing significant growth in the personal travel manager concept across Western Australia.”

Ms Scotney believes the marketing they have been conducting in Western Australia regarding the personal travel manager concept is paying off.

“Alison Hill is the business partnership manager for Western Australia and she is doing a fantastic job speaking to people about TravelManagers and what we offer as a company. However there’s no doubt our biggest advocates are our existing personal travel managers in the region who love what they do and naturally sell the virtues of TravelManagers and the support provided to them. They’re a very active group recently raising over $3,000 for Cancer Council in Western Australia with their initiative called Western Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.”

Ms Scotney says it is pleasing to see such a wide range of candidates coming on-board.

“TravelManagers attracts people with such a diverse range of skills, experience and backgrounds to join its team which makes them a very strong company.”

Ms Scotney says the Western Australia intake included a real mix of experience with a young guy with a couple of years in travel but who specialises in cruising through to a woman with 30 years’ experience under her belt.

“Sandy Cetinich is well respected in the travel industry, she has had a long and varied career in travel then we have Erryn Morris with a teenage daughter and 30 years working in a travel agency. Amanda Marwick has three little girls and has worked in an agency for seven years, Jodie Melvin who also has three daughters and three year’s travel experience and Wilson Young who has spent the last couple of years in travel specialising in cruising and doing incredibly well.”

Ms Scotney says the role of a personal travel manager is hugely appealing as it offers so much to a wide range of experiences, specialities and personal circumstances.
