Travel Counsellors is providing further support to its agents and their children following the success of its TC Kids programme, which launched earlier this year in Australia to supports its agents and their children during the school holidays. The scheme was introduced by the company to help busy Travel Counsellor mums and dads balance work commitments with looking after their children during the holidays, with a fun-packed activity programme to keep the kids entertained. This included puzzles, word searches, competitions and special broadcasts of the company’s own TCTV webcasts for the children to watch. “The scheme proved a huge success, with over 300 children aged 1-16 years from Travel Counsellors’ international family of agents across the globe signing up to take part,” says Travel Counsellors Australia General Manager Deb Duncan. “We ran the scheme during the Easter holidays in Australia and saw sales up 20% during that period compared to the previous year. As a result the company is taking the programme to a whole new level and we have actually developed our own internal social networking site for our agents’ children, within which the children register on the site and have their own profile where they can update their status and chat to other TC Kids across the globe. It’s a safe and secure way for our TC children around the world to interact with one another, as well as take part in the host of activities available to keep them entertained, freeing up mum and dad’s time to concentrate on their customers.” Deb adds; “We are constantly thinking of new ways to help our Travel Counsellors to be the best in the industry. Along with the training, technology and support we provide, the TC Kids programme is another way we are helping our agents to do their jobs effectively, whilst at the same time involving the children in our company community.” |
