“We had a staff member, Emma Healey; resign to travel to South America before returning home to New Zealand which created the opportunity to look at how we could better deliver marketing support to our personal travel managers. We’ve doubled our marketing team and now have two people to support our network.”
Chrissy Tayfield has been appointed as the Marketing Manager and James Trotter as their Marketing Coordinator.
Ms Tayfield has over 15 years marketing experience, 11 of those in the travel industry with four as National Marketing Manager for Flight Centre in South Africa. Mr Trotter has four years’ experience in digital marketing and communication. Ms Scotney says their qualifications and experience will make them a valuable team.
“Chrissy’s incredible marketing experience adds such depth and the fact the bulk of this is in the travel industry means she can hit the ground running. Both are very well qualified, James was selected for the prestigious AWARD School in Sydney for aspiring creative advertisers.”
The marketing department is responsible for delivering TravelManagers’ consumer travel catalogues, the regular client eNewsletters, the maintenance and continued expansion of their local marketing manual for personal travel manager use and the delivery of a cruise product database.
“In addition to this both these roles work very closely with our six business partnership managers based in Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. This ensures our personal travel managers get assistance for their individual marketing activities in addition to what we are driving nationally.”
Ms Tayfield says she is thrilled to be joining the TravelManagers team.
“After three years working in the not-for-profit sector I am rapt to be in travel, it is such a passion of mine. When I was doing my research TravelManagers really stood out as a company who have got the model right and are just going from strength to strength. To have secured this role is very exciting.”
Mr Trotter agrees.
“Their online marketing is fantastic and I am looking forward to using my skills in this area to help take it to the next level. Working with Chrissy is going to be great for me personally, particularly being able to tap into her travel industry experience at such a high level.”
