Swissotel brings a touch of the Alps to Sydney

:: Swissotel brings a touch of the Alps to Sydney ::

The fare held an Asian flavour. The sky overhead was distinctly Australian. But the setting was unmistakably Swiss, as Swissotel Sydney  played host to an evening of winter frivolity at the Alpine Ski Hut.

Part of the Sydney Winter Festival, an event sponsored by Swissotel, the hut is designed in the style of a traditional, elegant mountain chalet and was thus the perfect setting for the hotel to say a “big, big thank you” to its valuable business partners and friends.

Swissotel Sydney general manager Daniel Fueglister, who has been with the hotel group for 25 years and took up his post in Sydney in January after a stint with the Swissotel Basel, described the event as “the most unusual winter festival I have ever experienced”.

“But you made this come to life,” Mr Fueglister told those present.

Following a short address by the Swiss, generous door prizes were awarded to several lucky recipients, with the major prize a top of the line espresso machine – to help warm up those winter nights.

Thank you Swissotel Sydney.
