  :: United for City2Surf::

On Sunday, United’s Sydney office had a team running in the City2Surf. I have included a couple of bullet points regarding United’s involvement in the race as Daisy was going to run with us, but ran off to Spain to avoid running up Heartbreak Hill.

  • United was the official airline sponsor, providing two business class tickets each to the male and female winners of the race
  • United was also airline partner for the charity fund-raising competition which raised around $4million for various charities. Individuals who raised over $250 for their charity and groups who raised over $1000 for their charity were entered into a draw to win a trip to NYC including United airfares and accommodation from NYC & Company.
  • On race day, United had a team of nearly 30 competing, bringing together staff from the airport, cargo and sales & marketing departments, as well as some corporate clients and industry partners.

(Back Row: L-R) Chris Petty (United), Jim Mueller (United, VP Asia Pacific), Luke McFarland (finished in 57:19 in a banana costume), Kate Cuthbertson (United), Alison Scott (Gate 7), Alison Espley (United) & Paul Millan (Travelscene Corp)

(Front) Luke Crawford (United) & Ramon Poblete (United)
