Compass staff celebrate 10 years in the business with some in house Birthday and a selection of staff not answering calls!

Compass Cars, formerly known as 1car1, proudly celebrate 10 years in business today. James Frape, Compass MD who founded the company all those years ago comments ‘When we first arrived on the scene the $ was 3 to 1 against the pound and our prices were nearly $12/day more expensive than they are today. Agent websites weren’t even talked about and email and wait overnight for a confirmation was the accepted thing. We came in and managed to shake a few things up in terms of our product offering for the UK and helped established ourselves as the Specialist UK Car rental provider. With all inclusive pricing so the customer could see exactly what they were paying for and a free delivery service – something we still have today – we found people gravitating to what we were offering. As a result our business grew and for the agents that have supported us we like to think we have supported them.

After 10 years we are still on the scene and going as strong as ever with a dedicated workforce who will always guarantee that what the consumer can see online the agent can also see and earn a commission on. As a local company with a local HQ we make decisions on the spot and have grown over the 10 years to now offer worldwide car rental at prices which are affordable and all inclusive with 99.9% of bookings confirmed on the spot.

To celebrate our 10th year in operation we are giving agents the chance to ‘double their commission” For all bookings made between today and 27th September if your booking is drawn out of the hat on the 28th September then you will earn double your normal commission on that booking. For the consumer if their name is drawn out of the hat then they will win the value of their car hire back.
