To coincide with the September school holidays WILD LIFE Sydney has officially re-opened its doors to a new Australian animal exploration situated right the centre of Sydney’s hustle and bustle.
The new WILDLIFE Sydney (formally Sydney Wildlife World) at Aquarium Wharf treats local and international visitors to an incredible Australian animal adventure. Conveniently, with easy access from the city’s center.
As you begin the Australian animal adventure you are transported from Darling Harbor to eight themed, symbolic Australian habitats including Kakadu Gorge, The Outback, Gum Tree Valley, Daintree Rainforest, Butterfly Tropics, Wallaby Cliffs, Koala encounters and at Nightfall.
The tour throughout the habitats takes between one and half to two hours from start to finish.
WILD LIFE Sydney life sciences manager Mike Drinkwater said that WILD LIFE Sydney is more than just a change of name.
“Our goal was to recreate the iconic regions of Australia, complete with the animals you would find in that geographical area. It is great to bring domestic and international visitors a new Australian animal experience,” Mr Drinkwater said.
To mark the opening of the new attraction WILD LIFE Sydney has welcomed adorable striped baby emu’s nicknamed the ‘Jail Birds’ who have taken up residence at the Outback’s Red Centre habitat home.
Mr Drinkwater explains visitors can enjoy enhanced interactive displays, more entertaining shows, feeding sessions and unique walk through habitats.
“Our visitors get a chance to experience first-hand the diversity of Australia’s incredible flora and fauna, all without leaving the city,” Mr Drinkwater said.
