The Brisbane travel industry showed up in force last night at famed venue, Cloudland in Fortitude Valley.

Over 150 guests enjoyed free beverages, canapés and the opportunity to mingle with colleagues some hadn’t seen in years.

With the weather balmy, the theme, ‘Escape to Paradise’ mirrored the vibe of the event with more than a few folk heading downstairs to enjoy the salsa band, some until the wee hours of the morning!

Prizes abounded with special thanks to prize sponsors, Club Med, Cruise Whitsundays, VISA, Dreamworld and Starlettos and each guest received free Breakaway Travel Club membership or renewal.

Whilst many guests asked the Thirsty Thursdays team to come back sooner, it can be confirmed that the event will hit the sunny state of Queensland again at least twice in 2012.
