Tea time before the African Sun

::Tea time before the African Sun::

Industry friends sipped on tea in the Queen’s building yesterday before exploring the African world and Sun International’s hotels and resorts.

Held in the Tea Room at the Queen Victoria Building, the Group celebrated new property updates with wholesalers and agents yesterday and teamed up with its new communications team Unique Tourism Collection (UTC) to share details of upcoming promotions and future plans down under.

UTC account director Jonica Paramor told e-Travel Blackboard that while Australia is a “solid” market for South African and the resort’s Group, the company’s aim is to reach travellers unaware of the destination’s portfolio.

“Sun International was appointed as the new reps in Australia and we are aiming to ramp up their visibility and achieve some major growth,” Ms Paramor said.

Sun International’s Australia-based representative explained that among the techniques to be implemented to create growth would be an increase in digital channels and social media activity as well as greater push in public relations to reach consumers.
