TravelManagers has appointed Scott Hallo to the role of business partnership manager for Victoria and Tasmania following Jodie Lemon’s decision to pursue a change of career. Mr. Hallo’s 11 years’ experience across both retail and wholesale was seen as highly valuable particularly his last industry position being Creative Holidays’ State Sales Manager for Victoria and Tasmania.

Mr. Hallo says having had two years out of the travel industry has broadened his business development and management experience and made him realize just how much he missed it.

“Having worked in travel since 1998 I thought a change would be a good idea. Little did I know how much I would miss the travel industry, I guess it gets under your skin. I’m rapt to be back and couldn’t be happier securing this job with TravelManagers.”

Mr. Hallo says he has been watching TravelManagers progress with interest.

“They’re the only personal travel manager host agency with state based business partnership managers. It’s hugely impressive and I’m excited about working with the two managers based in Brisbane, two in Sydney and the one in Perth.”  

Mr. Hallo says having been a business development manager in his most recent role he understands the importance of helping his personal travel managers to achieve their business objectives and goals.

“It’s very much a team approach and ensuring the personal travel managers know that they have support at an individual level. There is no blanket approach with TravelManagers which was one of the drivers for me joining their team. Each one of their personal travel managers is seen as an individual, with different clients and objectives - my job is to help them to achieve.”

National Business Partnership Manager for TravelManagers’, Michael Gazal, says Mr. Hallo’s existing relationships and knowledge of the travel industry will be a huge advantage for him.

“He can start and be effective immediately which is fantastic for the personal travel managers across Victoria and Tasmania. He will be a great asset to what can only be described as a very experienced team.”

Mr. Hallo will also be responsible for assisting with the recruitment, retention and development of personal travel managers in his two states.
