Enjoy the Greek Film Festival with Sun Island Tours, your Mediterranean Travel Experts

Thursday, 13 October 2011

This October the Greek Film Festival returns to Palace Cinemas with one of the strongest programs to date.  There are over twenty films (Melbourne: 12-31 October /Sydney: 13-30 October /Brisbane: 27-30 October), but such a little time to see them all!

This year's program includes the best of contemporary Greek cinema, including internationally awarded and acclaimed films, comedies, dramas, documentaries and two classic Greek movies.

The Festival will open with “Need for Lies” one of Greece's best-loved stage comedies that is a satire of the Greek political machinations. “Once upon a time there was a baby” it’s another comedy where two very different men and one abandoned baby have to deal with many unfortunate situations. “The signature” is an enigmatic thriller about true love and sacrifice, set within the art world. And the festival will also present an unmissable documentary about the great Greek-Cypriot filmmaker and stage director Michael Cacoyannis in “My Life and Times”.

The only negative note is that this festival will definitely leave you with an unsatisfied desire to go on holiday to Greece. Luckily, Sun Island Tours specialised knowledge, service, flexibility and passion for the Mediterranean can help you finding the right solution.
