The year was 1990. It was the year the first Gulf War started, The Simpsons premiered on Fox TV, East and West Germany merged to become Germany and a local travel agency in Brighton commenced business.

Leading local travel agency, Bayview Travel and its directors, Chris McGetrick and Michael Nolan, are celebrating 21 years in the travel industry, a feat not many businesses can achieve in the current economic climate.

Chris and Michael, collectively have 58 years experience in the travel industry, say “the secret to our longevity is our attention to detail and desire to look after clients and provide the highest level of service possible. We ensure we constantly review our market offerings and have the latest innovations to meet changing consumer and market demands”

The Brighton based corporate and leisure travel agency acknowledged this achievement on the 17th of October 2011, 21 years later. This is a huge milestone and reflects the strength, professionalism and resilience of the Bayview Travel directors, Michael and Chris who have lead the company to today and now employ 14 experienced staff.

“Twenty-one years ago, when Michael and I started Bayview Travel, and later on joined forces with Travelscene American Express Australia’s largest premium travel group, we had no idea Bayview Travel would have grown to the business that it is today” says Chris McGetrick.

“The Travelscene American Express Network allows us to remain viable and relevant in the changing economic environment. The strength of belonging to a group with extensive buying power, training support and networking opportunities, together with a team of experienced staff, really sets us apart.

Today, Bayview Travel is well recognised by the travel industry locally, nationally and internationally and Chris and Michael remain an active part of the business.
